Melinoë is just beginning her journey in Hades 2, the sequel to Supergiant Games’ brilliant roguelike based off Greek mythology. Hades 2 recently entered early access, and while there’s a ton of content to explore, there are still placeholder assets and obstacles blocking player progression past a certain point. Still, fans are happily digging into everything on offer — and getting inspired by the gorgeous art style and new lore. But what if you could encounter even more new and exciting myths and legends in your journey up to Olympus — including ones from other games entirely?
Jen Zee, the artist behind Hades’ iconic art style, has inspired many artists to try and imitate some of those bold stylistic decisions. If you’ve drawn a character in that style, it’s simple enough to put them on top of a Hades 2 screenshot with some custom text.

Would Ghost from Call of Duty be a particularly helpful companion? On one hand, he’s a step down from all the myths and figures that currently populate Hades 2. On the other hand, he does have the power of gun, and I can see that being handy.

Or what if we went with a darker presence? Carmina Mora, also known as The Artist in Dead by Daylight, is a tormented figure brought low by corruption and pulled into an extraplanar realm ruled over by the Entity. Seeing her show up on the way to the Underworld isn’t too surprising, although she doesn’t have too much to say.
If you prefer a more traditional deity — albeit one outside of the Greek pantheon — how about Jesus Christ?
