Bethesda is preparing to roll out a significant update for the PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S versions of. Last-gen players will also benefit from improved stability and a variety of fixes. The game also has two new free creations, adding a variety of new weapons, clothing, and settlement items.
Fallout 4’s long-awaited next-gen update launches on April 25, so the full patch notes aren’t available yet. However, in addition to quest fixes solving login bugs, the game is getting increased performance on next-gen systems. It will be able to run natively on PS5 and Series X and can now run on higher resolutions and at 60 FPS. Bethesda is also adding new Performance Mode and Quality Mode settings.
Meanwhile, the update adds some new features for PC users, including widescreen and ultra-widescreen support. PC users will also notice a variety of fixes, and Bethesda has resolved the login issues experienced by Chinese and Japanese-language players. Moreover, players will have new ways to play Fallout 4 on PC. The game is on its way to the Epic Game Store and will be Steam Deck verified.
Bethesda Softworks is also releasing three new free item packs in Fallout 4’s Creation Club. Enclave Remnants lets players roleplay as their favorite government conspiracy. It introduces new weapon and armor skins, the Tesla Canon and Heavy Incinerator weapons, and the X-02 and Hellfire Power Armor. Meanwhile, the Makeshift Weapons Pack Includes a Baseball Launcher, Nail Gun, and Piggy Bank catapult. Finally, the Halloween Workshop adds 38 Halloween directions that players can use to decorate their settlements for spooky season.
