Inkulinati finally launches in 1.0 tomorrow and to celebrate, we've got an exclusive gameplay video that should teach you everything you need to know about this unique turn-based strategy game.
After spending a year in Early Access on Steam and Xbox Game Preview, Inkulinati is finally having its 1.0 launch and hitting PlayStation and Nintendo Switch for the first time tomorrow, February 22. Although I'm sure many of you have been playing the game since it started in Early Access, if you're a newcomer then you'll want to get the lowdown on what Inkulinati is all about.
If, like me, you're a complete newcomer to Inkulinati and have been waiting for its full release to dive in, then this gameplay trailer is just what you need to get started in your journey as a Master of the Living Ink. The first thing you'll notice about Inkulinati is its gorgeous art style, which is inspired by doodles made in medieval manuscripts and results in over 50 cheeky creatures like a donkey playing the trumpet with his bum and hares looking terrified to wield a weapon.
Although the art style and humour instantly make Inkulinati stand out, there's much more to it than just having a laugh. As you'll see in the gameplay trailer, there's a lot of depth to its turn-based strategy gameplay. Each creature in the game has unique skills, such as a snail that can roll forward to deal damage, and it's up to you to build a bestiary and take down anyone who challenges you.
If you're a beginner then don't worry too much, as Inkulinati comes with a handful of difficulty settings that should let you tailor the experience to your liking. In my case, that'll just be appreciating the beasts showing their bums.
