It's officially that time of year again, as EA Sports and Codemasters have officially revealed the first trailer for F1 24, along with the announcement that the game will be zooming onto store shelves later this year on May 31. While this particular trailer didn't give us any gameplay footage to check out all the improvements on F1 23, EA Sports has promised that a full reveal of the title will take place this April, although a specific date has yet to be announced.
Until then, you'll actually be able to race around in some cars from the real 2024 F1 season if you pre-order the title before April 24. Starting this weekend, you'll be able to use select 2024 team cars in F1 23's Time Trial mode, including cars from McLaren, Williams, Alpine, and Haas, as well as two esports liveries for McLaren Shadow and Alpine. You will also get several bonuses for use in F1 24 if you pre-order too, so don't go thinking your only bonuses will be for a game that is soon to be out of date. If you pre-order the standard edition of F1 24, you'll get 5,000 Pitcoins and an F1 World Starter Pack, while pre-ordering the digital-exclusive Champions Edition will get you quite a few extra goodies.
For starters, you'll get 18,000 Pitcoins instead of the regular 5,000, as well as an F1 World Bumper Pack that features a variety of resources for use in single-player and multiplayer modes. On top of that, you'll also get early access to F1 24, which will begin on May 28, as well as a bonus VIP Podium Pass. This Champion's Edition will also be a lot more affordable than recent games if you're a big F1 fan, as EA also revealed that a loyalty scheme will be in place to get you 15 percent off your pre-order if you own any of the past three F1 games.
In other EA news, the publisher recently announced that it will be stepping away from the development of licensed IP to focus on its own unique
