Tencent Games subsidiary MoreFun Studios has revealed that its realistic shooter franchise, Arena Breakout, is coming to PC in the form of a new title called Arena Breakout: Infinite.
The free-to-play foray into the PC realm is set to release for Steam later this year. MoreFun says players can expect “unparalleled firearm customization” and first-person shooter realism, calling Arena Breakout: Infinite “the most visually stunning and immersive FPS experience that isn’t in a perpetual alpha state.”
The original Arena Breakout launched for iOS and Android devices last year and has been hailed as a mobile alternative to Battlestate Games’ Escape from Tarkov. MoreFun described its PC version of the tactical military experience in a brief summary that you can read below.
“In Arena Breakout: Infinite, enter the Dark Zone and become the deadliest soldier of fortune known to man. As a highly skilled military operative, journey into the war-torn Kamona region where high stakes equal high rewards. Pull the trigger, take cover, and move ahead. Break into combat arenas to extract high-value items and strike it rich… but be prepared to fight for survival.”
Additional details tease dense customization options that include more than 500 accessories, such as rifle stocks, sight placement options, custom barrels, muzzle brakes, and more. Each tweak allows players to customize the stability, accuracy, and range of their weapon of choice before heading into combat arenas that feature real-time lighting and 360 spatial sound effects. MoreFun adds that Arena Breakout: Infinite is aimed to be a player-first experience built on competitive and fair gameplay.
“Infinite represents an all-in commitment to launching the first viable tactical FPS on Steam that’s accessible, content-complete and free of issues like cheating, bugs, poor servers and more that longtime fans of the tactical-shooting genre have sadly grown accustomed to,” MoreFun explains.
