After a decade of waiting, the world of college football is back in gaming. EA Sports has released the first official trailer, previewing the highly anticipated sports game.
The trailer for the upcoming game highlights the atmosphere and environment of a college football game, complete with mascots celebrating, bands playing on the field, and teams preparing to come out of the tunnel onto the field.
College Football 25 will release on July 19, 2024, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Players can preorder the game now. An EA Sports “MVP Bundle” is also available, bundling together the deluxe editions of College Football 25 and Madden NFL 25.
New to College Football 25 is EA’s CampusIQ, a system that it says will help match the explosiveness and feel of a real college game. Players’ ratings will fluctuate during the game thanks to EA’s Wear & Tear system, making each game feel unique depending on what happens.
Of course, one of the biggest draws of College Football 25 will be its presentation. The world of college football is known for its pageantry, and EA hopes to cover that with sights, fight songs, mascots, and commentators fans know and love. For big-time matchups in the game, ESPN’s Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit will call games, while other games will see NCAA mainstays Reece Davis, Jesse Palmer, and David Pollack on the call.
College Football 25 will also see fan-favorite game modes return, including Dynasty mode, Road to Glory, and Online Dynasty. An Ultimate Team game mode will also be included in the game, allowing fans to build up their perfect dream team of college stars.
