Eden Eternal is set to return under X-Legend, the company that has recently also taken over operations for older MMORPGs Aura Kingdom and Grand Fantasia.
Set in a world with a number of different races, you are the Crystal Child, a chosen one that wakes from a crystal and has the job of leading people into the Promised Land. A ton of responsibility, but that’s the premise. Once you’ve led the people to where they need to go, then you get to build a sanctuary for them to keep things up.
Eden Eterna l will relaunch later this year in English, Japanese, and Traditional and Simplified Chinese on its global servers. With the relaunch, there will also be cross-server play to allow for competition from different regions and better population numbers. Expect some tweaks and balance changes for the game in its new start, as well as other layers. Since Eden Eternal features flexible class switching, this adds a layer to play but also competition.
There’s a short teaser showing off the classic JRPG-inspired style, from grouping, to battle, to riding around on an alpaca, along with the variety of the character and some of the world.
X-Legend Entertainment is a Taiwanese developer and publisher that is also now running Aura Kingdom and Grand Fantasia. Those games were previously run by Gamigo, and there is a way to transfer accounts over for those games.
When it comes to the new Eden Eternal, things look to be a fresh start, and for a returning game, that makes sense. The global version promos even talk about starting at the very beginning. While there’s no release window or date confirmed just yet, more will be coming, as the new global official site is up and running.
