Since his discovery by players in the Warlords of Draenor garrison, Pepe has become a community icon, the subject of fan art, memes, and selfies, such as ZHArDoom's work depicting Pepe dressed up as all 33 (at the time) playable characters in Heroes of the Storm. The Trans-Dimensional Bird Whistle added in Patch 6.1 allowed players to take Pepe on further adventures beyond the garrison's original limitations, and the beloved birb has been with us ever since, making an appearance in every expansion, alongside an ever growing collection of outfits and toys, some of which have been featured on the Blizzard Gear Store.
The multi-dimensional birb has made appearances in several Blizzard games including Hearthstone and Heroes of the Storm, and most recently spotted hanging out in the World of Warcraft Trading Post spotlight.
