Graphics card prices continue to drop in China with AMD's latest Radeon RX 7900 XTX & 7900 XT seeing up to 19% price cuts.
The AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX and RX 7900 XT aimed to offer competitive prices against NVIDIA's RTX 40 series GPUs. While the company did offer better value, the overall performance, efficiency, and driver issues didn't give users a compelling reason to move to the red team. However, AMD & its partners are aware of this and want to bring even more competitive prices to the market aside from the US and EU.
We have seen some big price cuts on the AMD Radeon RX 7000 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series in the US and EU markets but China is also seeing price cuts across the board. This week, the AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT dropped 19% from its launch MSRP of 7399 RMB to 5999 RMB (-300RMB versus last week). While the Radeon RX 7900 XTX didn't see much of a drop this week, its pricing has also fallen below the MSRP of 7999 RMB to 7589 RMB which is a 5.1% drop in price.
Over at the NVIDIA camp, the trio of GeForce RTX 40 series graphics cards also got cut in terms of prices. The RTX 4090 is available for 12149 RMB (-7% from its 12999 RMB MSRP), the RTX 4080 is available for 8049 RMB (-15.3% from its 9499 RMB MSRP and the RTX 4070 Ti is available for 5839 RMB (-10.2% from its 6499 RMB MSRP). Besides the newer cards, the older RTX 30 & RX 6000 GPUs also continue to drop in price with the RTX 3090 Ti dropping down by 30% to 10499 RMB while the biggest drop was seen on the RX 6900 XT which dropped 41.8% down to 4659 RMB.
Some deals over at JD.com even have prices way below MSRP on cards such as the Yeston RX 7900 XT SAKURA which is listed for 6499 RMB but with a 999 RMB coupon, it comes down to 5499 RMB & that converts to $790
