The AMD Ryzen 9 7900X CPU seems to be falling in price outside the US borders as the chip is now available for as low as $420 US in China.
Chinese retailer Jingdong (JD.com) revealed today that they are discounting the AMD Ryzen 9 7900X CPU to 2899 RMB which converts to $420 US. This new pricing places the processor below the price of the Ryzen 9 7900 non-X variants by close to 300 RMB (3199 RMB).
In September last year, AMD released the Ryzen 9 7900X CPU for the original MSRP of $549. However, the cost overseas in China's borders is even better than in the US as the AMD Ryzen 9 7900X is less expensive than its non-X version. In addition to the bundle on Newegg, AMD is offering its bundle that combines seven of its newest processors, including the AMD Ryzen 9 7900X, with DDR5 memory, X670 and B650 motherboards, and the new Star Wars Jedi: Survivor PC game that is active from February 27, 2023, to April 1, 2023. Only specific DDR5 memory from Kingston, Crucial, ADATA, and GeIL and qualifying motherboards are part of this bundle from AMD, which includes the:
