Strayed Lights is a new action game from French developer Embers, and it's brawling to PS5 and PS4 on the 25th April. As shown in the above gameplay trailer, there's a heavy emphasis on combat here, with a Sekiro-esque parry system forcing you to open up your often monstrous opponents before unleashing a deadly attack of your own.
We think it looks rather satisfying, and there seems to be a unique rhythm to it since you'll have to swap between blue and orange light to properly synchronise with your foe's moves.
It's also worth mentioning that Strayed Lights' soundtrack comes from composer Austin Wintory, who, of course, spearheaded the music of games like Journey and ABZU.
This is one to keep an eye on, then. Does Strayed Lights' gameplay appeal to you? Get your parry timing down in the comments section below.
Robert's been a dedicated PlayStation fan since the days of Tekken 2, and he still loves a good dust up. When he's not practising combos, he's usually getting lost in the latest 100-hour RPG, or, y'know, replaying The Witcher 3.
Oh I remember this one. Looks nice. I hope there's more than combat to it.
