Bandai Namco continues to evolve Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, and the upcoming World Tournament DLC gives Goku a new look and introduces several more changes to the open-world ARPG. While Dragon Ball FighterZ and Xenoverse 2 fans continue to get their own content updates, the World Tournament DLC may entice more players to return to Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot.
The World Tournament is a busy time for the main characters of Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z, and though it has been featured in previous titles based on the franchise, DBZ: Kakarot has focused on other storyline events. The fifth DLC for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is set to revolve around this fighting tournament known for classic moments like Goku fighting a disguised Master Roshi and the combat debut of Piccolo. Although it's currently unclear which specific story moments will appear in the World Tournament DLC, a Japanese ad recently went viral as it hints at some of the possibilities and shows a brand-new look for Goku.

The World Tournament DLC follows the Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Bardock expansion, and it will portray much of what happens during the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament arc of the anime. Because of the time changes, Goku has been given a different look to reflect his younger self, and many Dragon Ball Z fans are already expressing their appreciation for this cosmetic change to the Bandai Namco ARPG protagonist. The images for the upcoming Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot DLC show Goku with a younger and smaller look than the one he has for much of his journey in the ARPG, but it also shows him in a blue outfit holding an umbrella that may be yet another option in the World Tournament.
