A new model of a rusty robot has been datamined on the 10.0.7 PTR and while not particularly exciting on their own, they bare a striking resemblance to a fan-favorite robot, Blingtron! The model has no name or other identifying information associated with it which means we can only speculate what it'll be used for. Latest PTR Patch 10.0.7 Rusty Robot ModelBlingtron 7000 Model While the two robots may have no relation, it's hard to disregard their uncanny likeness with the 10.0.7 version just missing a lot of the usual bling. Blingtrons have a storied history on Azeroth as the engineering profession's personal gift dispensers, Brawler's Guild opponents, or even battle pets. Each expansion has typically given us a new version in some form from 2000 to 7000 or MK2. However, in Shadowlands the ostentatious robot was completely missing, so perhaps it's time for a resurgence in Dragonflight. Let's speculate on some potential uses for this model:
Is this the first Blingtron model ever created; Blingtron 1, the precursor from which all other Blingtrons are made? If we do visit the Dragon Isles Underground in 10.1, do we stumble upon the Magnetic Chasm where the Blingtron War is currently being waged between (0x0002) and iR-T0? With the profession overhaul of Dragonflight, is this just a new Engineering profession Blingtron 8000 that we need to blingify? Perhaps this is just another Blingtron that has been aged and rusted over by the time altering magics of the Bronze and Infinite Dragonflights? The possibilities for this model are endless, but here's hoping for a return of our favorite extravagant automaton!
