Over the last few years, Sony has been porting some of its biggest PlayStation exclusives over to Steam. The next rumored PlayStation port coming to PC could be PS5’s Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart. This PS5 exclusive originally launched as one of the console’s first major titles on June 11, 2021. Ratchet and Clank is a long-running PlayStation franchise, with its ninth major installment receiving high reception.
As spotted by GamesRadar, in a post from March 13, a Reddit user noticed that this title from Insomniac Games could be coming to PC. They noticed a job offer from Nixxes, a company that assists in PlayStation PC ports, asked for a UI/UX engineer. The job offer asks for someone with knowledge of using “Coherent middleware.” This is a game UI tool used in creating Rift Apart, hinting that the company’s next project could be a PC port of the latest Ratchet and Clank game.

The user reminds everyone to take this with a grain of salt, but it is still an intriguing find. Nixxes aided PlayStation before in porting both Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Seeing as Rift Apart was a critical success, it wouldn’t be surprising to see it arrive on Steam. Just like its predecessors, Rift Apart is a third-person platformer shooter. This game includes chaotic gunplay with unique weapons and gadgets. It also introduced travelling instantly through rifts, which can take you to a whole other world.
Many are anticipating getting PC ports for more PlayStation exclusives, such as Ghost of Tsushima and The Last of Us Part 2. Time will only tell for whether these games arrive on Steam, but it is likely that nearly all or most PlayStation exclusives will receive a port. Ratchet and
