Dr Disrespect is at it again, this time with praise and excitement for an upcoming FPS game. The content creator has shown a keen interest in the genre throughout his career, though not always for the better.
It's no secret that The Doc is one to stir up controversy (and in fact has permanently lost his Twitch account over unknown reasons) and frequently trolls other players as well. But even he can take interest in upcoming games that show promise, and with more positive remarks than his usual banter.

In this particular case, The Doc highlighted the upcoming FPS The Finals, which he described as a combination of Battlefield, Team Fortress 2, and Overwatch. In fact, the game is being developed by former members of the Battlefield team who have since founded Embark Studios for which The Finals is the team's first major project. As The Doc states regarding the ambitious game:
“You always have to appreciate a big vision and a unique take and then pull off at a good and high level.… [And] if destruction is not done right, it can be really bad. I think we have seen a lot of examples where it does not add to the gameplay. It’s tricky, but based on what we just saw right there, it can complement the gameplay.
For context purposes, Embark Studios dates back to 2018 and counts several former Battlefield team members among its ranks, including former franchise lead and Embark CEO Patrick Söderlund, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 artist Robert Runesson, and Battlefield 3 audio director Stefan Srandberg.
