Destined With You episode 16 opened with Jang Shin-yu searching for Hong-jo in the forest where Na Jeong-beom had kidnapped her. Jeong-beom tells her they’ll get married and be together in their next life. While Hong-jo manages to free herself from him momentarily, he eventually catches up to her and tries to kill her as the moon lights up bright in the sky.
