Netflix is looking really good in November, with high-profile series and movie premieres for just about everybody. We've got a new David Fincher flick, some reality TV goodness, the real-life Squid Game, anime both American and Japanese, and way more. Here's our guide to the hottest new content on the streaming service this month. Whether you're already a subscriber or thinking of signing up, there's definitely some worthwhile stuff to watch here.
David Fincher's new Netflix project is based on a French comic book and stars Michael Fassbender as a nameless assassin who botches a job and finds his tightly-wound life unraveling. With his employers on his tail, he must seek revenge while also staying alive. The Killer has already won raves in early reviews, and lovers of tension and globe-trotting action will be on board happily.
Bryan Lee O'Malley's graphic novel series was already a feature film, but we're ultra-hyped about this animated adaptation from Japanese studio Science SARA. Scott Pilgrim Takes Off really captures the style of O'Malley's artwork and brings it to life, and amazingly the movie cast is returning to voice the anime, including Michael Cera as Scott, Aubrey Plaza, Brie Larson, Chris Evans and more.
I auditioned to be one of the 456 contestants on this real-life version of the Korean hit (without the murdering of losers). The $4.56 million prize pool was just too good to pass up. But I didn't make it on the show. Or did I? You'll have to tune in to find out. Netflix is rolling Squid Game: The Challenge out gradually, with weekly episodes through December 6th.
