It looks like that troubled Knights of the Old Republic remake for PS5 is still in development, for the time being, at least. That's according to the latest Embracer Group financial report, which lists the title in its announced games section.
This is something of a ray of hope for the title; when asked as recently as last week about the project, Embracer CEO Lars Wingefors said, “[My] favourite question, I have no further comments." This, combined with the massive delay (not to mention changing studios), led many to believe the ambitious remake was as dead as Alderaan.

Hope they're quietly working on it. I would like give this a go. Never got into a star wars game before.
By the time this comes out… We’ll be talking about the PS6 and the game will be day 1 on Xbox at release.

Honestly? I’d rather have an option to play the original KOTOR on my PS4.
That said, I’m glad to hear they are still working on this remake. PS5 needs as many AAA as possible
