If you can cast your mind back to the last time Sony hosted a livestream – and, trust us, we know that was eons ago – you may recall that it started out with confirmation of a Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake, which was slated to launch as a console exclusive for PS5. Since then, the project has been hit by a huge delay, and development was yanked off Aspyr Media and handed to Saber Interactive.
Despite the changes, it doesn’t look like much progress is being made – and you certainly shouldn’t expect an update during today’s PS Showcase. Speaking as part of an investors meeting, as described by Axios’ Stephen Totilo, CEO Lars Wingefors was asked for the latest on the project. “[My] favourite question,” he said. “I have no further comments.”
Considering this was planned to comprise a big part of PlayStation’s portfolio – it was even signed on to publish the release, and was collaborating on development – this doesn’t sound particularly promising, does it? It could be that Wingefors is simply acting coy ahead of a big re-reveal, but considering the title’s turbulent route to market thus far, we’re going to assume this release is trapped in development hell for now.

If it comes out probably won't be until 2025 at the earliest. I saw where THQ lost a partnership with an undisclosed company, so wonder if Sony cancelled their deal
Sad, this project was doomed the moment they announced it, I got really excited until I saw the Aspyr logo, hope Playstation gives it to one of their own teams.
