Pokemon games tend to resist steep discounts even more than the average Switch exclusive, with their $60 price tag lingering around much longer than you’d expect. However, right now Amazon and Walmart are running great deals for Pokemon double packs, allowing you to snag Pokemon Scarlet and Violet or Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl for some of the lowest prices we’ve ever seen.
The best deal is for the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Double Pack, as the latest games are already down to just $80 (typically sold for $120). Keep in mind that this is for the physical edition--opting for digital codes will bring the price back up to $120. If you only want one of the games, Pokemon Scarlet is discounted to $47.78 at Walmart, and Pokemon Violet is $46.
It’s a similar story for the Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl Double Pack, although its price is a bit higher at $87. This deal is also for the physical edition. Alternatively, you can save a few bucks (but miss out on the Double Pack packaging) by purchasing each game separately from Amazon. Pokemon Shining Pearl is discounted to $40, and Pokemon Brilliant Diamond is $42.53.
If you’re looking to round out your Pokemon collection, be sure to check out these game deals at GameStop:
Arceus is arguably the most enticing option of those three, as its unique gameplay mechanics make it feel incredibly fresh compared to other games in the series. You’ll also get to traverse the map with the help of a variety of Pokemon and help piece together the world’s first PokeDex. At just $45, it’s an easy recommendation.
