The latest reveal trailer for Mortal Kombat 1 has revealed that Darrius from Mortal Kombat Deception will be making a return as one of the game's Kameo fighters.
Mortal Kombat 1 is currently being shown as part of a dedicated panel at San Diego Comic-Con, with Ed Boon and several voice actors involved in the game taking part. The big reveal of the show was a new trailer that revealed several new characters that are joining the roster, including Baraka, Li Mei, and Tanya.

Although the big reveal of the trailer was the new playable fighters, the other big reveal was that Goro and Darrius, two massively popular Mortal Kombat characters are joining the game as Kameos. If you don't remember, Kameo fighters are essentially the main new feature of Mortal Kombat 1 that essentially act as a tag-team mechanic that lets you bring a fighter in to help with the fight.
The new trailer showed several shots of both Goro and Darrius acting as Kameos in the game. Goro isn't much of a reveal as we already saw him as a Kameo in one of the previous trailers for the game, but Darrius is brand new and hadn't been mentioned before. He's also far more interesting than Goro as he's not actually appeared in a game since Mortal Kombat Armageddon, the last mainline title from the 3D era.
We can see from the gameplay footage that one of the main moves that Goro has is, unsurprisingly, his ability to leap into the air and then come back down to land on the opponent. Meanwhile, we can see that Darrius gets involved with a grab ability, which doesn't seem too different from the other fighters on the roster.
