The upcoming promotional set of Pokemon cards that will be included in McDonald’s meals has appeared online.
The collaboration, which has yet to be officially announced, has appeared in Germany. Images of the cards have been provided to Pokebeach.
The cards will once again come in special Pikachu-themed happy meal boxes. Pokebeach reports that the promotion will start in the UK on August 23.
Pokemon last collaborated with McDonald’s in 2021, with packs quickly selling out in the US.
This led to stores in the UK implementing a limit on the number of packs that could be purchased by fans, however, VGC reported that this wasn’t followed in several stores, as we were able to buy dozens of packs, without purchasing any meals.
The full list of cards included in the set is:
All of these cards have previously been available as part of the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet expansion, however, this set will feature holo versions of six of the Pokemon, Sprigatito, Fuecoco, Quaxley, Cetitan, Pikachu, and Klawf.
Pokemon has collaborated with the fast food brand since 2001, producing hundreds of exclusive cards, although many of these cards feature repurposed artwork from other sets in the trading card game.
Several of these McDonald’s sets have become extremely collectible.
