Ed Boon is seemingly teasing on Twitter (surprise surprise) that Reptile is going to be the next character announced for Mortal Kombat 1 during EVO.
Today marks the start of EVO and one of the most exciting things coming from the tournament, outside of the incredibly skilled matches we're going to get to watch, is some kind of announcement for Mortal Kombat 1. That's right, even though we just had the confirmation that Geras would be returning from Mortal Kombat 11, it looks like we have more in store today, likely after the Mortal Kombat 11 tournament.

This was confirmed by Ed Boon earlier this week when he was asked by a fan if we can expect something from EVO. Since then, Boon has tweeted something that many are taking as a hint that one of the next characters being confirmed for the game is everyone's favourite green ninja, Reptile.
Earlier today, Boon tweeted a picture of a KFC and a Taco Bell across the road from wherever he is, along with the caption, "What does this restaurant have in common with EVO??". This incredibly vague tweet didn't make it clear what Boon could be hinting at but, as pointed out by Redditor bsisbeke on the Mortal Kombat leaks subreddit, an earlier tweet from Boon might have spelled out exactly what he was trying to say.
Just a few hours earlier, Boon tweeted the exact same picture with the caption, "The secret ninja Reptile was born here, 31 years ago". This seems to suggest that Reptile is going to be announced for Mortal Kombat 1's roster later today at EVO, as the next time that he used that photo was directly talking about the tournament.
