Early Access for Paradox’s Sims rival Life by You has been delayed by 6 months
Paradox Interactive has delayed the Early Access release of Life by You by six months.
Previously scheduled to launch on September 12, the life sim’s Early Access release date has been pushed back to March 5, 2024.
The game is the debut title from Paradox Tectonic, a studio established in 2019 and headed by Rod Humble, the former boss of EA’s The Sims label and the ex-CEO of Second Life creator Linden Lab.

In a video update which is viewable above, Humble said the extra development time will enable the studio to improve various elements of the game based on feedback from the community and its modding partners.
Paradox plans to update the game’s visuals, user interface and mod tools, fix various bugs, and add support for additional languages in time for its Early Access release.
The Early Access version will cost $39.99 / £34.99 / €39.99 on Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Paradox said players who previously pre-ordered via Epic Games Store will automatically have their order refunded by Epic (the game has only been available to wishlist on Steam).
“Life by You allows players to design and live out the lives of the humans that they create in an open game world where everything is customizable,” according to Paradox.
“Players create their households, build their homes and tell life’s many stories. With real language conversation and the ability to switch from third-person to direct control gameplay, players will connect with their humans on an emotional level.”
