Sony Interactive Entertainment has revealed August 2023’s PlayStation Plus Essential games.
Next month’s first batch of PlayStation Plus titles will be PGA Tour 2K23 (PS5, PS4), Dreams (PS4) and Death’s Door (PS5, PS4).
Subscribers will be able to claim the games from August 1 until September 4.
Sony-owned studio Media Molecule recently announced that it will be ending live service support for Dreams on September 1. Players will still be able to play, create and share content after this date, but the game will receive no further updates.
PlayStation Plus members have until July 31 to claim July’s Essential titles. They are Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War (PS5, PS4), Alan Wake Remastered (PS5, PS4) and Endling: Extinction is Forever (PS5, PS4).
August’s first PlayStation Plus Game Catalogue title was announced earlier this week. Sabotage Studio’s retro-inspired, turn-based RPG Sea of Stars will join the subscription service when it’s released on August 29.
Unlike Essential games, which are available for all PlayStation Plus subscribers to claim, Game Catalogue’s downloadable PS4 and PS5 titles are only available for Extra and Premium tier members.
July’s Game Catalogue titles include The Ascent, It Takes Two, Sniper Elite 5, Snowrunner, and SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated.
PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers can also access the Classics Catalogue, which includes hundreds of games from the original PlayStation, PS2, PS3 and PSP.
July’s additions to the Classics Catalogue are Gravity Crash Portable, Twisted Metal and Twisted Metal 2.
