Valheim has announced Trial of Tyr, a new solo, hard mode speedrunning competition for glory and rewards.
If you’re brave enough to take on this challenge, which is happening in honor of the Hildir’s Request update, which adds difficulty options to Valheim , then you can start beginning today. From today through September 5th, you'll have to send the team a full Twitch stream or YouTube stream video to enter your solo hard mode run. This is a hard mode solo deathless contest, so you'll have to enter Valheim and defeat all of the bosses on hard mode by yourself, without dying, and you are battling against the clock for the fastest finish time to declare who the ultimate winner will be.
The team is offering a custom made engraved Viking tankard with the winner's name and completion time carved on it.
If you think you have what it takes, then you'll have to enter by yourself without any help or any dev commands, you'll have to stream your entire run without splitting the footage to prove that you deserve the glory, play with hard preset on and you'll have to play on the official Trial of Tyr world seed.
If you've beat the bosses a number of times and you think you'reready to handle this hard run, you can finish by defeating the final Mistlands boss, the Queen, mount her head at the Ancient Stone Circle, and throw your hands up in the air in triumph.
(But also send your entry to the development team at Iron Gate.)
Hildir’s Request Is bringing difficulty settings to Valheim , letting players who want to plan a more casual pace, and without as many perils, to do so, and let those who feel like they can handle just about anything, put that to the test.
You can find out all about the competition over at Valheim .
