The Evolution Championship Series, better known as Evo, has released its schedule for the 2023 event, kicking off with a “surprise-filled” panel from Arc System Works.
The fighting game tournament, which is the largest in the world, will take place from August 4 to August 6 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Alongside the tournament itself, a number of panels have been announced, including one from Arc System Works which promises to be “surprise-filled.”
“Rush over to the main stage and grab a seat for the show opening and a surprise-filled panel from our friends at Arc System Works,” reads the official description from Evo. The show kicks off on August 4 at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BST.
Arc System Works is best known for the Guilty Gear and BlazBlue series. The last entry in the Guilty Gear series, Guilty Gear Strive, was met with critical acclaim. Arc System Works was also behind Dragon Ball Fighter Z, to which rumors of a sequel have been doing the rounds for some time.
Evo has also announced that there will be an “exciting announcement from a surprise developer” on the same day, though no details have been provided other than that it will take place at 12.30pm PT / 5.30pm ET / 8.30pm BST.
