Behaviour Interactive has just revealed a teaser trailer for an upcoming horrifying new killer in Dead by Daylight, with fans speculating that the creature may be some type of folklore monster. A number of IP-based and original killers in Dead by Daylight have received praise from players, and audiences are already buzzing with potential explanations for this terrifying new addition.
First released in 2016, Dead by Daylight is an asymmetrical multiplayer horror game where survivors must repair generators in order to unlock an exit and escape from powerful killers. The game features a number of killers from pop culture franchises, such as the Demogorgon from Stranger Things, along with a number of original killers, including the game's mascot, the Trapper. Fans frequently speculate on potential new additions to the game's lineup, and this latest teaser is once again drumming up excitement.
The next killer for DbD appears to be a horrifying monster that many are speculating may have folklore origins. In the teaser, a first-person view of a camper in a tent is shown, as they swing their flashlight from side to side and whisper that something is stalking the tent. The character begins to panic as the zipper on the tent's flap is slowly undone by the unknown stalker. An inhuman voice says «help me» before a deformed creature violently rushes into the tent, attacking the character with the flashlight. Only brief glimpses of the killer's face are shown, revealing a grotesque appearance. Fans have not recognized the monster as anything from a pop culture tie-in for DbD, but many believe this original killer may be a skinwalker.
