Chip Zdarsky, longtime Marvel writer and current Daredevil scribe, has an urgent warning for fans regarding the Devil's Reign event. The massive crossover event impacts every corner of the Marvel Universe, but a very significant ending spoiler was accidentally left in an earlier-released book. Daredevil: Woman Without Fear #3 stars Elektra as she battles various supervillains while remembering her shady past — but the end contains a plot development fans were not meant to know.
In the Devil's Reign crossover event, the Kingpin uses his power as Mayor of New York (along with the power of persuasion harnessed from the Purple Man) to outlaw all superhero activity within the city limits. Immediately, the law goes into effect and the Thunderbolts are dispatched, arresting Reed Richards, Susan Storm, Spider-Man and many others. While some superheroes manage to break out and flee from the police, others aren't so lucky and are locked away with power-dampening collars preventing them from escaping. Meanwhile, the Kingpin has used the Purple Man's powers to remember a shocking truth: Daredevil's real name is Matt Murdock.

Writer Chip Zdarsky was apparently made aware of the mistake; on his personal website zdarsky.substack.com, Zdarsky posted a plea to his fans:
