Charlie Cox is open to Marvel making a Daredevil season 4 that is less violent than previous runs. Few television shows have been on a rollercoaster like Daredevil has. First conceived as Marvel's inaugural Netflix show, the darker MCU-set series premiered in 2015 to positive reviews from fans and critics, many of which praised the more mature take on the Marvel universe and Cox's performance. Cox played Matt Murdock, a blind lawyer who uses his incredible hearing to fight crime in his neighborhood of Hell's Kitchen. Daredevil enjoyed three seasons in total on Netflix before it was abruptly cancelled in 2018; its canon status in the MCU was then put into question as Marvel shifted its television prospects to Disney+.
Recent months, though, have seen the tides change for Daredevil. Fan support hasn't waned once since the series was cancelled, and that enduring passion seems to have paid off. Cox recently made his proper MCU debut in Spider-Man: No Way Home, while Daredevil bad guy Vincent D'Onofrio reprised his Kingpin for the Disney+ series Hawkeye. Another promising development arrived just yesterday, when Disney announced all of the Marvel Netflix shows will be available on Disney+ in just two weeks, effectively bringing them under the MCU banner.

This could mean Marvel is interested in finally making Daredevil season 4. Still, one concern fans have is that properly integrating the show into the MCU will sanitize its gritty, darker nature.
