Daredevil season 4 could begin production in 2022, as new rumors suggest the revival/reboot starts filming later this year. Premiering in 2015 on Netflix, Daredevil marked the first Marvel TV show for the streaming service as part of a larger plan for the Defenders universe. Charlie Cox starred as Matt Murdock a.k.a. Daredevil for three seasons and The Defenders crossover, but Netflix surprisingly canceled the series in 2018. This news came despite positive reviews, Daredevil season 3's ending leaving room for Matt's story to continue, and those involved expecting season 4 to happen.
After years of Marvel not being able to use Hell's Kitchen's protector, Marvel Studios is now bringing him back into the fold. Cox returned as Daredevil in Spider-Man: No Way Home, which is expected to be the first of many appearances in Marvel Cinematic Universe projects. On top of rumors he'll return for She-Hulk and Echo, fans have long wondered if Marvel Studios could still make Daredevil season 4 happen. The possibility of this happening became greater after Disney confirmed the Marvel Netflix shows are moving to Disney+ in March 2022. It now appears some plans could already be in motion.
