Chris Hemsworth congratulates fellow Marvel star Ryan Reynolds on The Adam Project's success following its well-received debut on Netflix. The sci-fi action adventure marks the latest collaboration between Reynolds and director/producer Shawn Levy, with the two previously working together on last year's hit sci-fi action comedy Free Guy. The Adam Project had previously been in the works at Paramount Pictures with Tom Cruise attached to star under the original title Our Name is Adam, though would be revived at Netflix over a decade later with Reynolds and Levy.
Reynolds stars in The Adam Project as Adam Reed, a pilot from the year 2050 who takes a time jet and flies back to 2022 in an effort to learn the reason behind his wife's disappearance and must team up with his younger self and their late father to save the future. Alongside Reynolds, the cast for the film includes Walker Scobell as a younger Adam, Mark Ruffalo, Jennifer Garner, Catherine Keener and Zoe Saldaña. Hitting Netflix this month, The Adam Project has scored generally positive reviews from critics and audiences alike, including some high-profile stars.
