Warning: Mild spoilers for The Adam Project
A new behind-the-scenes shot from the Netflix science-fiction adventure film The Adam Project sees star Walker Scobell undertaking a fun, mid-air stunt during filming. The film follows time-travelling fighter pilot Adam Reed (Ryan Reynolds) who travels back from 2050 to 2022 in a rescue mission to find his wife, Laura (Zoe Saldaña). Meeting his 12 year-old self (Scobell) in the process, the two Adams team-up in order to save the future while also coming to terms with the death of their father, Louis (Mark Ruffalo). The Adam Project reviews were generally positive upon its release, with particular praise being aimed at its fun, moving story.
The futuristic adventure film from director Shawn Levy also stars Jennifer Garner as Adam's mom Ellie, Catherine Keener as villainous, dystopian leader Maya Sorian, and Alex Mallari Jr. as Sorian's brutal enforcer, Christos. The Adam Project has garnered attention for its Spielbergian charm, combining high-stakes sci-fi with a poignant dramatic core. Naturally, this has meant that the movie also features a number of fast-paced action sequences, as the characters navigate various time periods in their attempts to either escape or confront Sorian and her team of soldiers. These scenes include a collection of fun sci-fi tropes and weapons, from laser guns to a Star Wars lightsaber-looking staff.
