Proud Canadian Ryan Reynolds stayed close to home while filming the sci-fi movie The Adam Project. The film is Netflix's latest project with Reynolds, and is also director Shawn Levy's second collaboration with the star after previously working with him on Free Guy. In this movie, Future Adam Reed (Ryan Reynolds) travels through time and space in an effort to save the world, but ironically, all of The Adam Project's filming locations stayed in the same area.
The Adam Project opens with Future Adam trying to jump through time while under heavy fire in the year 2050. The space pilot crash lands several years too late in 2020, and unintentionally comes face-to-face with his 12-year-old self (Walker Scobell). The two of them have to work together to stop their father (Mark Ruffalo) from inventing time travel in 2018. It's never confirmed where exactly The Adam Project is set, but beautiful landscapes feature in the background of many of the scenes as the characters traverse through peaceful beaches and lush, green forests.
