The Adam Project director Shawn Levy shares a behind-the-scenes photo from the Netflix film in which he jokingly predicted his Deadpool 3 job. Ryan Reynolds starred in the time-travel adventure as test pilot Adam from the future who venture back to the present day in the hopes of learning why his wife and fellow pilot mysteriously vanished during a flight. When his plane is shot down mid-flight, Adam must team up with his younger self to fix the jet and solve the mystery with the help of their late father.
Reynolds led an ensemble cast in The Adam Project that included Walker Scobell as his younger self, Mark Ruffalo and Jennifer Garner as his parents, Zoe Saldaña as his missing wife and Catherine Keener as villainous businesswoman Maya Sorian. The film debuted to generally positive reviews from critics this month, with praise being directed towards its performances, action sequences, lighthearted tone and visual effects while some criticism was aimed at its predictable story. The Adam Project marked the second collaboration between Reynolds and Levy after the hit Free Guy and while their next project of Deadpool 3 was only recently confirmed, it appears one of them may have had a premonition of what's to come while making the Netflix film.
