Warning: Potential spoilers for Judgment Day by Marvel Comics ahead
As the terrifying Judgment Day approaches at Marvel Comics, a new cover by artist Mark Brooks reveals that the X-Men, Avengers, and heroic Eternals may need to fight and defeat an awoken Celestial together. Judgment Day has promised some major changes to the Marvel Universe, including a huge mutant retcon, and this cover could indicate that Avengers Mountain is no more.
Judgment Day is going to focus on Thanos' group of Eternals attempting to wipe out mutantkind after discovering that the mutants are actually descended from Deviants, while the X-Men, Avengers, and the heroic Eternals fight for Krakoa's survival. While the heroic Eternals will clearly stand against Thanos' army, their biological need to wipe out excess deviation could cause them to attack the X-Men, no matter how morally opposed they may be to it. As more and more information about the impending Judgment Day is released by Marvel, one way to figure out the major threats facing the X-Men and Avengers is through upcoming covers.

Judgment Day — written by Kieron Gillen with art by Valerio Schiti — will be intrinsically connected to the cosmic lore of the Celestials, as these cosmic beings are the ones to create the Eternals, Deviants, and now potentially Earth's mutant population as well. Plus, for over a year now the Avengers main base has been «Avengers Mountain,» which is really the corpse of the Celestial named the Progenitor that was gifted to the Avengers by the Celestials themselves.
