Warning! Spoilers ahead for Eternals #11
In the latest issue of Marvel Comics' Eternals, the Avengers are called out for having some of the most ridiculous villains. Infiltrating Avengers Mountain, a team of the most well-known Eternals attempts to commune with the Celestials. However, they need to do it without Earth's Mightiest Heroes knowing. This is where Kingo comes in to serve as a distraction, taking advantage of the fact that the Avengers often have one-off villains who can be quite dramatic.
In Eternals#11 from Kieron Gillen and Guiu Vilanova, it's safe to say that the immortal heroes are quite desperate. Distraught by the discovery that a human dies every time an Eternal is resurrected, the team decided to adapt and be more like the Deviants. Meanwhile, the absence of the Eternal heroes on Olympia has resulted in Thanos taking the place of the Prime Eternal Zuras. As such, he's taken Phastos hostage and has been torturing his parents he's darkly reunited with so he can learn how to be fully integrated into the Eternals' Great Machine. As such, the Eternals have decided that they need to commune with their creators for guidance, though the only Celestial on the planet is the deceased body of the first Celestial who came to Earth, given to the Avengers to turn into their new headquarters by the Celestial Host.
