These rumors are reaching a peak yet again, with Norman Reedus himself recently confirming the development of Death Stranding 2. Hideo Kojima, fittingly, has since responded and made the situation all the more confusing.
To frame the situation, Norman Reedus is a friend of Hideo Kojima and acted as both the voice and motion capture model for Death Stranding protagonist Sam. In a recently published interview with the magazine Leo, Reedus stated that the development of the «second one» had just started, in reference to Death Stranding. This isn't the first time Reedus has mentioned Death Stranding 2, though the first time he only said that a sequel was planned. That was about a year ago.

On Friday, Hideo Kojima posted a message on Twitter seemingly responding to Reedus' confirmation of Death Stranding 2's development. At first glance, it's somewhat of a cryptic message. The text of the message says «Go to your private room, my friend,» with a thumbs up and a heart-eyed emoji. Attached to the message are three pictures. In the first, Kojima is holding up a barbed-wire bat from The Walking Dead. In the second, he's standing above Norman Reedus, swinging the bat. The third has Kojima and Reedus in a side hug taking a picture together.
