Since starting his own development company, Kojima Productions, in 2005, Hideo Kojima has been going from strength to strength. As the creative mind behind the Metal Gear Solid series which helped shape the stealth genre, his name has become synonymous with the video game auteur that's often more associated with film directors. On top of Death Stranding, the Japanese creator is still keen to use his unique mind to conjure up some of the most interesting titles around, and a new tweet from the man is hinting at something that may be occurring soon.
A few days ago, the creative director of Death Stranding took to Twitter to upload a very short video, which in true Kojima fashion, is quite cryptic. The clip shows him turning on a HAL-9000 type machine, which then utters the famous 2001: A Space Odyssey line, «I'm sorry Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.» When the camera is pulled out, viewers will see what looks like a calendar that features a woman. Next to her is the word «June,» while above her head is the number 6. It seems obvious that people were meant to see this, so it could be hinting at something being revealed shortly, possibly tomorrow.

However, a report from The Gamer says that some detailing next to the woman sort of looks like a 1, which may mean the date is actually June 16 rather than June 6. There's no real way to know just what Kojima has in mind, but given that Death Stranding 2 has been strongly hinted at, thanks to Norman Reedus accidentally letting it slip, any big news coming from the Japanese director is likely to be related to this sequel.
