James Gunn reveals the origin of the Peacemaker opening credits dance routine. After first being introduced in The Suicide Squad, John Cena's Christopher Smith/Peacemaker got his very own show on HBO Max, which Gunn wrote and partially directed. The show was a hit with audiences and critics and humanized the character of Peacemaker, seeing him join a top-secret elite task force to take down an alien race of beings known as Butterflies.
Although critics and audiences alike praised Cena's performance, Gunn's writing, and the stellar supporting cast, one of the standout aspects of the show is its opening credits dance sequence. Set to the tune of «Do Ya Wanna Taste It» by Wig Wam, Peacemaker's opening credits sequence sees the titular antihero and all the supporting characters engage in a carefully choreographed dance routine, which is equal parts hilarious and entertaining. The Peacemaker dance has proved so popular, in fact, that various groups from around the world have taken to recreating it, with Gunn often sharing them on his Twitter account.

Gunn shares a link to the Super credits and explains that Peacemaker afforded him the opportunity to do an opening dance sequence in live-action this time. Check out Gunn's tweet below:
