One location, the Carian Study Hall, has two versions of itself available to explore, making it stand out amongst the game’s numerous other Dungeons. However, completing one of these maps clearly offers far greater rewards than the other. As a result, despite the striking comparisons between the two dungeon variants, their differences are arguably far more important to consider.
The Carian Study Hall is found on the eastern side of Liurnia, and is plainly connected to the Carian Royal Family. Although lore states that this side of the family central to is more closely associated with the western side of Liurnia, this immense library demonstrates that their presence was nevertheless felt across the entire region. Moreover, it must be noted that this dungeon plays a crucial role in multiple quest lines, making it an important destination for many Tarnished in their journeys through the Lands Between.
At first, the Carian Study Hall seems structured similarly to any other location. A series of rooms, enemies, and treasures await the Tarnished, with the roaming enemy Preceptor Miriam being one of the dungeon’s stand-out features. Miriam teleports constantly as her health is whittled down, making the battle to defeat her fairly unique. Doing so earns the Tarnished a Sorcery, Magic Downpour, while a few other useful pieces of equipment can be found along the way. However, the true value of the Carian Study Hall only becomes apparent in its second form, which flips the entire layout upside-down.
In addition to Magic Downpour, the Tarnished can also obtain the Carian Glintstone Staff and Cerulean Seed Talisman in the regular form of the Carian Study Hall.
