Players are unsatisfied with Call of Duty: Warzone 2's new Crossbow weapon. While a fan favorite from the original game, the sequel's version is significantly less powerful than its predecessor, much to Call of Duty: Warzone 2 players' annoyance.
Launched in November 2022, Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is Activision, Raven Software, and Infinity Ward's second installment in the free-to-play battle royale series. While Warzone 2 was released as part of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, it's a standalone experience that does not require the main game to play. Warzone 2 contains more content than its predecessor, in addition to a redesigned Gulag system and introducing a more significant number of AI-controlled enemies. The game saw «generally favorable» reviews according to aggregate site Metacritic, scoring 80 on PC and 79 on PS5.

Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 launched last month, bringing back the previous game's popular Crossbow weapon. It is not the only returning weapon to receive a nerf in Call of Duty: Warzone 2, nor is this the first time that Raven Software nerfed the Crossbow in particular.
