Blizzard has officially unveiled its next premium statue offering, which will be a pricey effigy of the former archangel Inarius. While Diablo 4 remains months away from its June 2 release date, Blizzard is already capitalizing on anticipation for the game with high-quality merchandise. Inarius isn't the first Diablo 4 statue to be announced by Blizzard, but it's certainly the largest and most impressive to be made yet.
Inarius is a key figure in the lore of the Diablo franchise, but has surprisingly played no direct role in the three main series games up to this point. Inarius sought an end to the Endless Conflict between heaven and hell, and fell in love with the demon Lilith in the process. Together, they created the world of Sanctuary and gave birth to the Nephalem, which would become humanity across many generations. Both Inarius and Lilith would eventually succumb to madness and be imprisoned, but have found their freedom for the events of Diablo 4.
Diablo 4 Reveals Open Beta Dates
The new statue that Blizzard has announced captures Inarius at a low point in his existence. Following the conclusion of the Sin War, Inarius was stripped of his connection to the Worldstone and imprisoned by the demon Mephisto. The statue Blizzard is selling is of Inarius in chains, suffering eternal torment in the Burning Hells. He still wears his angelic armor and his wings stretch to his sides, but beneath his feet is the boiling desolation of hell.
The Inarius statue is an impressive 22.5 x 8 x 26 inches and weighs 19 pounds. It's absolutely massive. The statue is made from 80% polyresin and 20% PVC, accounting for the materials used the statue's body and wins. According to the product listing, the Inarius statue is also hand-painted.
