Do you like fried chicken? Do you like Diablo VI? Then boy do we have an offer for you! Famous fried chicken chain KFC is offering customers who purchase the “Double Down” or any other KFC chicken sandwich online between March 8th to March 18th early access to the Diablo IV beta.
The offer is for those in the United States and more details can be found here. If you’re not a fan of fried chicken then you can hold on until the open beta which will be held between March 24th to March 26th. Players will need to have a Battle.net account in order to participate.
During these betas, Blizzard will let played dive into a healthy chunk of the game’s opening, including the Prologue and the entirety of Act 1. This will allow you to sample the first zone, Fractured Peaks, with a rugged landscape filled with demons to batter as you gather experience and level up, the gear you’re able to find topping out at Level 25.
Diablo 4 looks to continue the legacy of this action RPG series over a decade after the original launch of Diablo 3. In that time there have been a number of dungeon crawling contenders from fan favourite, Path of Exile, to recent games like Undecember and Torchlight: Infinite. In 2021, we even got a full-on Diablo 2 remake while patiently waiting for Blizzard’s sequel.
For Diablo 4, Blizzard are adopting a seasonal approach to updating the game and keeping things fresh. Each season will come with new gameplay features, a new questline and mysteries, and more of the world of Sanctuary. There will also be live events that crop up, and a Season Journey that is free for all players. This, however, feeds into a battle pass system that has both free rewards and a paid track of rewards to complete.
