The first month of World of Warcraft ’s new Trading Post is nearly over, and there are days left to collect your February prizes. However, there’s a feature highlighted that could give you an extra shot at an item you really want if you can’t get it done in any given month.
In a reminder post about the upcoming rotation beginning March 1st, there’s a list of all of the February items, as well as their cost in Trader’s Tender. Since this was the first month of the Trading Post, and the shortest month of the year, maybe some haven’t quite hit their stride with this new feature.
In an update from yesterday, a new post notes that you’ll be able to freeze one item that you haven’t purchased yet to give you extra time to buy it. This item will remain available past the original month in which it was released. This will stay that way until you buy it or replace it with a different item you want to freeze. With the monthly offerings set to rotate, this is a helpful feature that should mean you'll have the extra time you need if there's something you really want and the days of the month are running out. It seems like it would be even more helpful in February.
The February rewards include the Celestial Steed, which costs 900 Trader’s Tender, but you'll normally only be able to earn 1,000 per month. Freezing one reward to keep it within reach lends some flexibility. WoW rolls over all unspent Trader’s Tender into the next month if you didn’t use it all, so maybe you decided to go for one or two smaller items, but also really wanted that mount. Freeze it and get to work on the March quests to get yourself more currency.
