A screenshot uploaded with the post shows that the $150,000 dollars that Van der Linde was trying to retrieve would be worth over $4.5 million today. Specifically, had the story taken place in January 2023, the outlaws would have been chasing exactly $4,579,132.65. Given this figure, it's easy to appreciate why everyone was so eager to get it back.
