Genshin Impact has confirmed players will be receiving 100 free Primogems as compensation for a previously confirmed hotfix for the game's newest character. For players of HoYoverse's popular RPG,Primogems are one of the most valuable resources in the game, used as the main currency for the gacha system. HoYoverse often features plenty of free out-of-game ways for player to earn Primogems between web events, redeemable codes, and free rewards for update maintenance. Now, players will see a few extra Primogems in their in-game mail, thanks to a recent fix.
Last week saw the debut of Genshin Impact's newest character, the four-star character Mika, as a new Cryo Polearm user from Mondstadt. Mika brings a supportive playstyle focused around buffing Physical Damage-focused characters, providing increased damage and healing on Normal Attacks. However, Mika's release would quickly see HoYoverse look to address an erroneous value in his kit, announcing a hotfix to increase the Stamina cost for his Charged Attack just days after his launch. Now, with the change rolling out today, players are receiving compensatory in-game currency.

An update to HoYoverse's «Known Issues & Updates» thread for Version 3.5 in the HoYoLAB forums officially reveals the compensation for the Mika changes. Starting today, players will be able to claim 100 free Primogems through their mailbox after logging into Genshin Impact. Players will need to act quickly in order to claim the reward, though, as the mail compensation will only be available until Sunday, April 2nd. The mid-patch update will see the Stamina cost for Mika's Charged Attack increased to 25 from its initial value of 20.
