It's an exciting time to be a Pokemon fan, as Nintendo and The Pokemon Company are planning to reveal new content through an upcoming direct. Fans have been endlessly speculating at what will be announced, with many convinced that Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are finally going to be getting a big DLC announcement.
Pokemon Day is an annual event typically used to announce multiple projects or content updates across various titles. Fans continue to hold out hope for Classic Pokemon game additions to Nintendo Switch Online, now that Game Boy titles are officially available, as well as new remakes of older games like Pokemon Black and White. However, it's a pretty safe bet to assume that the popular mobile titles like Pokemon GO are getting some new content, especially if a recent datamine is to be believed.
Niantic Turns Pokemon GO Bug Into Official Feature
The latest Pokemon GO datamine comes from PokeMiners, who typically posts out newly found assets. The latest find seems to point at content Niantic is planning for the Pokemon Day announcement, which includes 3D models for the roaming form of Gimmighoul and then its Pokemon Scarlet and Violet evolution known as Gholdengo. While the Chest Form of Gimmighoul has been seen previously inside Pokemon GO, this would be the debut for both of these creatures.
