Today is officially Pokemon Day, and the annual Pokemon Presents gave fans plenty of reasons to be excited for the year ahead. But beyond announcements, today is a great time to snag Pokemon merch--as several big retailers are slashing prices to celebrate Pokemon Day, which commemorates the launch of the original Pokemon games in Japan.
If you’re looking to add a few Pokemon games to your Switch library, consider checking out Pokemon Shining Pearl, which is available for just $42, down from its usual $60. The remaster does a great job of staying authentic to the original, while adding enough quality-of-life features and improvements to cater to a new audience. Or, you can snag New Pokemon Snap for $45, down from $60, which builds off the great foundation established by the 1999 classic.
As far as merch is concerned, there’s plenty to choose from. This includes a Mega Pokemon Ultimate Jungle Expedition Building Set that’s seeing nearly a $40 price cut, the Mega Pokemon Charizard Building Set for $13, down from $22, and a gorgeous carrying case for $21 that can hold up to 800 cards.
Speaking of cards, there’s a handful of ways to save on the Pokemon TCG, with multiple packs seeing steep discounts--including Pokemon Trading Card Game: Hisuian Zoroark VSTAR Premium Collection, which is now just $32.
There are plenty of other great Pokemon deals to check out today, and we’ve listed our favorites below. If nothing catches your eye, check out the extensive catalogs at Amazon, Best Buy, and Target.
