The video revealed that the series is set to air on April 5, 2023. It also confirmed Machico will be performing the opening theme song, titled «Stay Free.» Meanwhile, Rie Takahashi and Aki Toyosaki will be working together on the ending theme song. KONOSUBA: An Explosion On This Wonderful World will have many different characters, but the primary focus will be on Megumin. The story is set a year prior to Kazuma Sato's arrival.
The cast details for the anime have already been announced. KONOSUBA: An Explosion On This Wonderful World will have Rie Takahashi as Megumin, Aki Toyosaki as Yunuyun, Miyu Tomita as Funifura, Sayumi Suzushiro as Dodonko, and Shizuka Ishigami as Nerimaki. Other voice actors involved with the project are: Maria Naganawa as Komekko, Mitsuhiro Sakamaki as Pucchin, Hitomi Nabatami as Chomusuke, and Kaori Nazuka as Arue.

Moving on to the production details. Takaomi Kanasaki is set to reprise his role as chief director from the anime. In comparison to the previous two seasons of anime, KONOSUBA: An Explosion On This Wonderful World will be produced by Drive. Makoto Uezu and Koichi Kikuta will be returning as those in charge of scripts and character designs, respectively. Meanwhile, Masato Kōda will reprise his role as the music composer for the series. The same staff members will be working in the third season of the main anime.
